Frolic fireworks return to brighten skies and spirits

The Mount Horeb Summer Frolic has raised enough money from local businesses to be able to present a fireworks display on Sunday, September 6. 

The fireworks will be launched beginning at 9:15 p.m. from the usual Frolic spot behind the Fire Department of Mount Horeb. FDMH will do a short fire truck parade at 9 p.m., preceding the fireworks. The route will begin at Blue Mounds and Main streets, then go down Blue Mounds Street past the station, up Meadow View Road, left on Parkway and left on Henry Street back to the station.

Organizers are asking that those who attend either watch from their vehicles or stay socially distanced from others if they’re watching outdoors. 

“The Mount Horeb Summer Frolic Board is thrilled to be able to bring some light — quite literally — into what has been a difficult year. We hope that this event brings hope and unites our community as we head into a new school year and face new challenges.
