$1000 Reward Being Offered For Info Leading To Arrest In The Killing of Nicholas Day

Detectives Find Jogger In Search For Clues

Madison Area Crime Stoppers is now offering a $1000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the killing of Blue Mounds resident Nicholas Day. 

Investigators with the Dane County Sheriff’s Office are reviewing a large amount of video they’ve obtained from Wednesday, January 15 in the Mt. Horeb/Blue Mounds area. On Thursday they identified a jogger who was seen running past the Mt. Horeb Municipal Building, at 138 E. Main Street, between noon and 12:15 on January 15. This person is not a suspect, but detectives wanted to speak to him.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone who has called with information, and continues to ask citizens who live, work or travel through the area of CTH JG, Bergum Road, Stewart County Park and Bohn Road, to think about the events of Wednesday, January 15 and share any information they can by calling the tip line at (608) 284-6900 or the non-emergency dispatch number of (608) 255-2345.  All callers can remain anonymous.
